About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Jukai Japanese & Thai. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution

Develop and implement menus that showcase the flavors and techniques of Japanese and Thai cuisine, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

Staff Management

Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and kitchen assistants, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional dishes.

Inventory Management

Oversee the ordering and inventory of ingredients, kitchen supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize waste.

Cleanliness and Safety

Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and ensuring that all staff members follow proper food handling and preparation procedures.

Customer Service

Ensure that all dishes are prepared to a high standard and presented in an attractive and appealing way, taking into account customer preferences and dietary requirements.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role

Work Setting

Restaurant or cafeteria environment

Physical Capabilities

Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and lift heavy objects
