Key Responsibilities

As a Cook, your duties will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation and creation of various sushi rolls, sashimi, and other traditional Japanese dishes according to customer orders.
  • Managing kitchen resources, including food costs, inventory, and sushi-making equipment.
  • Crafting and presenting sushi and sashimi dishes as they are ordered, adhering to traditional recipes and presentation standards.
  • Accommodating special requests from customers, such as ingredient modifications or dietary needs.
  • Monitoring daily inventory levels and ordering fresh fish and other essential ingredients as needed.
  • Ensuring the quality and freshness of all ingredients used.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the workstation, sushi bar, and kitchen area after each shift.

Compensation: $16 per hour

Work Schedule

Shifts may include:

  • Day shifts
  • Evening shifts
  • Holidays
  • Weekend availability

Language Requirements: Basic English oral communication skills are necessary.

Education: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience is preferred.

Additional Skills: Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is considered an asset.
