Being part of EightSix Network means becoming part of a dynamic and innovative organization within the aviation sector. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our cargo operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Network Optimization, the selected candidate will spearhead initiatives to establish both medium and long-term cargo networks. Additionally, this position will be integral in planning dedicated cargo routes that align seamlessly with our passenger network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all elements of EightSix Network's cargo flight schedules to enhance profitability in conjunction with passenger operations and fulfill our global carrier objectives.
- Conduct thorough analyses of existing route performance and identify necessary capacity adjustments.
- Optimize flight schedules to maximize connection opportunities while ensuring a competitive and appealing network for our cargo clientele.
- Evaluate and implement new route opportunities based on market trends.
- Continuously monitor booking patterns and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Ensure effective and economical fleet deployment, incorporating cargo, passenger services, and interline trucking.
- Communicate network goals and provide guidance to internal teams including Revenue Management, Commercial Sales, Finance, and Operations.
- Serve as a liaison with external stakeholders such as airports and communities, advocating for the best interests of EightSix Network's cargo division.
- Stay informed on factors affecting the aviation landscape, including socio-economic shifts and competitive movements, and proactively suggest adjustments to our flight plans.
- Develop and distribute revenue targets to optimize network contributions across various regions.
- Contribute to the formulation of long-term corporate strategies and annual budget planning.
- Propose strategies for long-term fleet management.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated with the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Results-driven with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven leadership capabilities and adept at multitasking.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation, air cargo, or airline sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of commercial airline planning principles.
- A university degree in Finance, Economics, or Business is preferred.
- Ability to lead network-level projects, influencing outcomes and achieving desired results.
- Proficient in advanced computer applications, including BI tools and the MS Office suite.
