This role reports directly to the Vice-President of Sales and is tasked with overseeing all facets of the sales cycle for designated clients within the specified module or vertical market segment. The Senior Account Executive serves as the primary liaison for all proactive sales initiatives concerning network services, IT consulting, IT managed services, and hardware-related IT solutions, while also managing the overall client relationship. This position collaborates with and provides support to various levels of sales and management teams. The incumbent is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and securing significant opportunities. Customer satisfaction, along with financial metrics (revenue and/or gross profit), will be directly influenced by the effectiveness of this role. A successful Senior Account Executive will formulate and implement sales strategies to effectively achieve sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture relationships while developing account strategies to enhance revenues and/or gross profits within the designated module or vertical market segment, ensuring a high level of engagement in accounts to meet planned outcomes.
- Direct the overall sales strategy and coordinate relevant overlay sales and technical resources (e.g., Practice Leads, Technical Sales Engineers, etc.). Emphasize the discovery of new solution opportunities, safeguard existing revenue streams, manage internal and external communications, escalate pertinent challenges to management, and uphold overall client satisfaction.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide precise forecasts to sales management regarding network and IT-related services and solutions.
- Participate in account team evaluations and strategy discussions aimed at protecting current business and pursuing new revenue streams.
Qualifications
- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Prior experience in managing large or strategic accounts is essential.
- Experience in network services, IT consulting, IT managed services, and hardware-related IT products is preferred.
Education
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a four-year university is required.
