Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified teacher to fill a Secondary LTO Teaching Position in English and Physical Education at the Durham District School Board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English and Physical Education courses to students in grades I/S
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver curriculum
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to ensure student success
Requirements
  • Valid Ontario teaching certification
  • Experience teaching English and Physical Education in a secondary setting
  • Special education training and experience an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
