Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow

Responsibilities:
The Sessional Lecturer is responsible for delivering high-quality university-level courses in a technology-enhanced learning environment. This includes developing and implementing inclusive teaching strategies, preparing and delivering course materials, grading assignments, and providing consultation to students.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellent teaching skills and a proven ability to work in a collaborative environment. They will have a minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant field, with a PhD preferred. Additionally, they will be a member in good standing as a Registered Dietician with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in Health Sciences in a post-secondary environment. They will have demonstrated a commitment to innovative and inclusive teaching strategies, as well as excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will also have experience managing large classes and diverse populations, and coordinating and supervising Teaching Assistants.
Education:
A minimum of a Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant area of Health Sciences is required. A PhD is preferred.
Experience:
Candidates with teaching experience in Health Sciences in a post-secondary environment are preferred. They will have demonstrated a commitment to innovative and inclusive teaching strategies, as well as excellent communication skills.
Skills:
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff, and students. They will also have demonstrated knowledge and experience with the Learning Management System, Canvas, and the ability to deliver classes remotely using online modalities such as Kaltura Media and Google Meets.
Additional Requirements:
Candidates will be required to certify that they are currently legally eligible to work in Canada for the duration of the contract. The collective agreement between the University and the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) will apply to this position.
