About the Role

The Montreal industrialization team at ELYSIS is responsible for designing and industrializing the equipment and workshops needed to operate the smelter of the future. This cutting-edge technology will transform the aluminum industry and improve its environmental performance for future generations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop smelter and aluminum production equipment
  • Draft technical specifications and requirements documents for suppliers for equipment manufacturing and quality control protocols
  • Draw files and participate in improving existing installations or equipment
  • Define and coordinate tests for prototype qualification and conduct associated risk analyses
  • Conduct technical assistance missions for the project, audits, prototype qualification, and capture feedback from experiences

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Design
  • 7-10 years of experience in mechanical design and management of technical projects in the aluminum industry
  • Mastery of mechanical design tools (Solidworks and Autocad)
  • Be a member of the Order of Engineers of Québec
  • You are a self-starter, rigorous, and able to synthesize information
  • You enjoy working as part of a team and have the right interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of people, including international contacts
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken
