Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming patients, as well as assisting with daily living activities such as feeding and toileting. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients, including making beds and maintaining patient rooms.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming patients
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding and toileting
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, including making beds and maintaining patient rooms
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments
  • Transport patients between care facilities
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs
Requirements:
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Child Abuse Registry check
  • Adult Abuse Registry check
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to lift and move patients
