Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming patients, as well as assisting with daily living activities. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment, and for communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming patients
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring patients
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning patient rooms and equipment
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
  • Participate in patient care planning and implementation
  • Document patient care and progress
Requirements:
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Child Abuse Registry check
  • Adult Abuse Registry check
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to lift and move patients
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
