We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our Campus Support team. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our campus IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot campus IT infrastructure, including servers, internet, computers, and peripherals.
- Provide high-level technical support for institution hardware and software to ensure smooth campus operations.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the Campus Support head office.
- Deliver instruction that meets module and program objectives as set out in the curriculum.
- Post-secondary education and a minimum of two years of experience in IT/network administration or a related field.
- Strong networking knowledge, troubleshooting aptitude, and familiarity with Windows, PC, and Mac operating systems, hardware, and software applications.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to convey information simply and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrates and encourages high standards of behavior, professionalism, and commitment to quality service.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Certified Network Engineer (CNE) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) designation is an asset.
- Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar is an asset.
- Experience with remote support tools and techniques.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and procedures.
