We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Watch Me Grow Child Care Centre. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young learners.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Design and implement engaging child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities, tell stories, teach songs, and take children on outings to local points of interest, while also guiding and assisting children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
- Observation and Reporting: Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
- Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, while also attending staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
- Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, including planning and organizing activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
- Experience: Experience is an asset.

- Settlement Support: We assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.

- Mentorship and Coaching: We offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
- Cultural Competency Training: We provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Work Setting: Child care centre.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 30-40 hours per week.
