About This Position:

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at CEFA Early Learning in Coquitlam. The successful candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a proven track record of delivering high-quality programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of young children.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Design and implement engaging and challenging programs that align with the CEFA curriculum, promoting the optimal development of children.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and children, ensuring open and effective communication to support the well-being and progress of all children.
  • Classroom Environment: Create a warm, inviting, and well-organized learning environment that reflects the CEFA values and promotes the health, safety, and well-being of children.
  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Continuously assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children, documenting progress and sharing insights with parents and colleagues.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge, skills, and best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
  • ECE Certificate Licence
  • 2 years of experience in childcare (preferred)
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certificate
  • Familiarity with BC Licensing Regulations
  • Knowledge of Montessori and Reggio Emilia methodologies (preferred)
