Immediate Supervisor: School Principal
Role Summary:
The primary responsibility of the individual in this position is to design and implement a comprehensive program of activities for the day care service, ensuring effective supervision that aligns with the educational mission of the school. This role is crucial in promoting the holistic development of students while considering their interests, needs, and established guidelines. The employee is tasked with safeguarding the overall well-being and health of the students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with school administration to plan, develop, and assess the activity program, ensuring alignment with the school's educational objectives.
- Organize special events, including pedagogical days, and may undertake some responsibilities of a day care service educator.
- Establish operational guidelines for the day care service, including registration procedures, attendance tracking, and student supervision protocols.
- Conduct informational sessions for parents regarding the day care service's organization and operations, ensuring clear communication of established rules.
- Oversee student admissions and registrations, maintaining accurate attendance records and data entry using relevant software.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations concerning hygiene, safety, and medication management within the day care environment.
- Facilitate communication between the day care service, school administration, parents, and external organizations, addressing complaints as necessary.
- Assist in budget preparation by analyzing data related to enrollment, grants, and operational expenses.
- Manage billing, collections, and financial transactions, maintaining accurate records and preparing financial reports.
- Monitor the day care service's budget, overseeing expenditures and managing applications for grants and allowances.
- Participate in staffing assessments based on enrollment forecasts, creating work schedules and vacation plans for staff.
- Foster positive relationships among day care service staff, leading coordination meetings and evaluating service delivery.
- Maintain attendance records for staff and manage replacement procedures for absent employees.
- Contribute to the physical organization of the day care service, maintaining inventory and procuring necessary materials and equipment.
- Utilize computer systems and software for various tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping and data management.
- Provide training and supervision to less experienced technicians and coordinate the work of educators and support staff.
Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.
