What is the opportunity?

Royal Bank of Canada's Compliance department is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Senior Manager, National Compliance. As a key member of the team, you will provide expert guidance and support to ensure the effective implementation of compliance programs across the organization.

You will work closely with business partners to identify and mitigate regulatory risks, develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures, and provide training and education to employees on compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide strategic guidance on compliance matters to senior management and business partners.
  2. Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
  3. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address regulatory risks.
  4. Provide training and education to employees on compliance matters.
  5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of compliance programs.
  6. Monitor and report on compliance metrics and trends.

Requirements

Must-have

  1. Minimum 10+ years of experience in compliance or a related field.
  2. Expert knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. University degree in a related field.

Nice-to-have

  1. Professional certifications in compliance or a related field.
  2. Experience working in a financial services industry.
