Job Title: Plastic Extruder Operator

We are seeking a skilled Plastic Extruder Operator to join our team at ACCORD PLASTICS CORP.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating extruding machines to produce high-quality plastic compounds. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced to meet production standards.
  • Place weighed materials in mixing machines and unload mixture into containers or conveyors for further processing.
  • Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die.
  • Change dies on extruding machines according to production line changes.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of materials and supplies.
  • Perform trimming and sanding of plastic or fiberglass parts as required.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Forklift Operator Certification.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours, work in a fast-paced environment, and handle heavy loads.
  • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a hot, noisy, and odour-filled environment with air conditioning. They will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
