About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Insulation Specialist to join our team at Greer Spray Foam Ltd. As an Insulation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining insulation systems in various settings, including construction and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select and apply the appropriate type of insulation required for each project
  • Measure and cut insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools
  • Apply and secure insulation using various methods, including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation techniques
  • Fitting insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs
  • Installing vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials
  • Brushing waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials
  • Removing asbestos, ceramic fibres, lead, and mould and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Work Environment

As an Insulation Specialist, you will work in a variety of settings, including construction and industrial sites. You will be exposed to noisy, odorous, dusty, hot, and cold environments, and may work in confined spaces or outdoors.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment
