We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainable Design Expert to join our team at HOK. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will be responsible for providing energy and environmental analysis for planning, architecture, and interiors projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Sustainability Management: Manage sustainable design analysis, conceptual energy modeling, sustainable consulting management, and LEED project administration.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal design teams on LEED and sustainable projects, and assist clients, engineers, and contractors with sustainable design implementation.
- Project Development: Develop sustainable design and operations guidelines, policies, and procedures for various projects, including LEED-NC, LEED-EBOM, LEED-CI, and LEED-HC.
- Office Operations: Implement and manage office green operations plans to promote a sustainable work environment.
- Education and Training: Support sustainable design education programs and LEED AP credential maintenance for team members.
- Leadership: Foster a commitment to external and internal client service, and mentor team members to promote a culture of sustainability.
- Sustainability Expertise: Thorough knowledge of sustainability, building science, integrated design, and LEED guidelines.
- Communication Skills: Proven presentation and communication skills to both team and clients.
- Project Management: Ability to direct project sustainability responsibilities and LEED certification independently.
- Team Management: Experience with managing team resources to undertake multiple projects or facets of various projects.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and information, and meet deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and the Adobe Creative Suite, familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-Up, Rhino, and related software.
- Analysis Skills: Ability to interpret and apply results from energy and environmental performance analysis, design analysis software, and energy analysis software.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or sustainable design required, Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: 6 years of experience in sustainable design and LEED project administration.
- LEED Credential: LEED credential within 6 months required.
