About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Delivery Drivers Supervisor to join our team at Galaxy Home Furnishing Corp. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of our products to customers across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Delivery Drivers: Ensure that our delivery drivers are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Coordinate Logistics: Plan and coordinate the delivery of our products to customers, taking into account factors such as traffic, weather, and road conditions.
  • Manage Reports: Prepare and submit regular reports on delivery performance, including metrics such as on-time delivery rates and customer satisfaction.
  • Train and Develop Team Members: Provide training and guidance to our delivery drivers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Recommend Personnel Actions: Make recommendations to management regarding personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
  • Coordinate Repairs and Rentals: Arrange for repairs and rentals of equipment and vehicles as needed.
  • Requisition Materials and Supplies: Order and manage the inventory of materials and supplies needed for delivery operations.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Work Setting: Supervise a team of 5-10 delivery drivers.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office and MS Word.
  • Type of Industry Experience: Experience in the trucking industry.
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's license.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organized, and team player.
  • Other Benefits: Permanent position, 40 hours per week, and English language.
