Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Windsor, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a loader to load and move vehicles to appropriate areas, ensuring the maintenance and servicing of the equipment, and performing various tasks to support the operation of our yard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a loader to load and move vehicles to appropriate areas, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of the loader and press, including inspections and repairs.
  • Remove rows of vehicles and ensure access and maintenance of the yard for customers.
  • Crush vehicles and load crushed vehicles into delivery trucks.
  • Perform forklift tasks when necessary and assist customers with transporting heavy parts to their vehicles.
  • Perform labourer tasks when all loader tasks are completed, including depollution, removing rims from tires, and daily support.

Requirements

  • Ability to drive and operate a heavy vehicle.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrate safe behavior in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Patient and flexible.
  • Team player.
  • Conscientious of equipment.
  • Good ability to concentrate.
  • Ability to adapt to different climate.
  • Valid forklift operator card (asset).
  • Loader operator trainings (asset).
