Greenhouse Labourer

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Labourer to join our team at Heeman Greenhouses Limited. As a Greenhouse Labourer, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and productivity of our greenhouse crops.
Key Responsibilities- Crop Maintenance: Cut horticultural crops, clean greenhouses, and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
- Soil Preparation: Mix and prepare soils for optimal plant growth.
- Plant Care: Plant bulbs and seeds, pot and re-pot plants, and transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings.
- Pest and Disease Management: Report signs of insect or disease damage and take necessary actions to prevent further damage.
- Equipment Operation: Assist with the operation of forklifts and garden tractors.
As a Greenhouse Labourer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks. You will be required to handle heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication.
- Work Schedule: 55 hours per week.
