Job Type: Part-time / Occasional (up to 24 months)
Hourly Rate: $35.00
The Canadian Red Cross (CRC) is seeking a qualified Instructor - Trainer to join our team. As a leading humanitarian organization and one of Canada's top employers, we are committed to delivering high-quality training programs that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training programs to instructors and monitors in accordance with CRC's certification standards.
- Stay up-to-date with national standards for first aid and emergency response programs and ensure training programs meet these requirements.
- Evaluate participants based on established criteria.
- Use CRC's training systems and resources.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of participant information in CRC's training management system.
- Ensure all participant documents are complete and uploaded to their file, as needed.
- Provide participants with course evaluation forms.
- Document and submit personal expenses to CRC.
- Submit completed time sheets to CRC.
Quality Assurance:
- Identify quality assurance issues and report them to the coordination team or account manager within five days of course completion.
- Maintain quality assurance processes by evaluating participants based on established criteria.
- Integrate volunteer resources into assigned responsibilities, as needed.
- Foster a safe and healthy work environment.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid CRC instructor certification in a specific discipline (Psychological First Aid, Program for Professional Responders, Wilderness and Remote First Aid, or First Aid).
- Be able to resolve complex problems.
- Have strong presentation skills.
- Be able to adapt to changing environments.
- Have the ability to influence others.
- Have excellent customer service skills.
