Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Coordinator, Patient Care (Acute & Ambulatory Care) to join our team at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH).

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in the General Surgery department, contributing to the overall patient care experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee patient care processes within a designated clinical area while providing guidance to team members.
  • Facilitate smooth patient transitions and access across various units, programs, and clinics.
  • Serve as a clinical resource, assist in staff development, and lead the team effectively.
  • Support administrative functions, including staffing, scheduling, and research initiatives.
  • Engage with interdisciplinary colleagues to promote a patient-centered approach to care.

Our hospital is a well-equipped acute care institution serving the local community, offering a range of services including Emergency care, Mental Health support, and Surgical interventions.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Registered Nurse with current BCCNM registration.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an administrative or supervisory role.
  • Possession of a valid BC Driver's License.
