Key Responsibilities- Provide clerical and receptionist support to the healthcare team, ensuring efficient communication and coordination of patient care.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to coordinate patient appointments, tests, and transportation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform other related duties as required, contributing to the smooth operation of the healthcare team.
Sechelt Hospital is a 46-bed acute care facility serving the Lower Sunshine Coast community. Our hospital provides a range of services, including emergency care, renal programs, mental health and substance use services, surgical services, and imaging services.
Qualifications- Grade 12, medical terminology, and graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program.
- One year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
