About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research and Development Manager to join our team at Tech-Access Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our research and development efforts, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement: Consult with clients to prepare contracts and project specifications, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs and expectations.
  • Operational Planning: Plan and organize daily operations, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
  • Proposal Development: Present and explain proposals to clients, highlighting the value and benefits of our research and development services.
  • Policies and Procedures: Establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of research and development projects.
  • Contract Management: Manage contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Specification Development: Authorize the development of specifications for products or services, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Data Analysis: Oversee the analysis of data and information, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.
  • Reporting: Oversee the preparation of reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of project status and results.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: A college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Work Setting: Research and development institution.
  • Area of Work Experience: Research and development.
  • Area of Specialization: Scientific research.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, initiative, interpersonal awareness, judgement, organized, and team player.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Green Job: Involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
  • Language: English or French.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
