About the Role
Bethany Care Society is seeking a skilled clinical educator to support dementia education at our Calgary site. As a key member of our clinical education team, you will provide orientation for new employees and develop and deliver clinical education to our staff in close collaboration with site leaders.
Position Summary
Your primary responsibility is to work with our education team and quality consultants to identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities and support organizational initiatives, such as research and program development. You will also work closely with other Bethany Clinical Educators and policy and program leads across our sites.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- To be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA).
- To possess post-graduate training in Adult Education or a related field, plus three to five years of direct experience as an educator in a clinical environment, preferably with a geriatric population and a focus on dementia care.
- To have a combination of education and experience, or to be working towards the completion of a Master's degree.
- To have experience with eMAR and electronic documentation software, such as Point Click Care.
- To hold a CPR trainer certificate and have training in Supportive Pathways.
- To be proficient with current productivity software, such as Microsoft Office and PowerPoint, as well as experience with multimedia applications.
Position Information:
This is a full-time temporary position until October 31, 2024. The position is located at our Calgary site, but may require travel to other sites as needed.
