About Us
CB Canada is recognized as a premier consultant in the renewable energy industry. Our Wind Independent Engineering team has been at the forefront of providing independent engineering services that support the financing and construction of wind energy projects across North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating the technical review process among various internal specialists, including civil and electrical engineering, energy assessments, and permitting.
- Manage and organize project documentation effectively.
- Review financial aspects of wind project construction to ensure compliance with budgets and schedules.
- Participate in due diligence reviews, including contract and financial model assessments.
- Compile inputs from technical specialists and contribute to the drafting of due diligence reports.
- Support project developers in resolving technical challenges by liaising with internal experts.
- Contribute to the development of proposals for services related to due diligence work.
- Assist in monitoring construction activities, including conducting site inspections.
- Prioritize health, safety, and environmental considerations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Evaluate project operating reports to assess asset performance.
- Support Project Managers and clients throughout the financial closing processes of projects.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A proactive and inquisitive mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Ability to work in various physical conditions, including climbing wind turbines and navigating construction sites.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Problem-solving skills to identify risks and propose viable solutions.
- Integrity and a commitment to conducting thorough and impartial reviews.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Familiarity with energy industry technologies and contracts.
- Experience in wind industry construction, operations, or project management.
- Interest in data management and digital systems.
