Cabinet Arts Ltd is seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces that meet our customers' expectations.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual who can work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and cabinetmaking, with experience in working with various types of wood and materials.
Key Responsibilities- Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics
- Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products
- Estimate costs and materials
- Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in cabinetmaking or a related field
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail. The work will involve standing for extended periods and lifting up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
