Job Title: Instructor of Persons with Disabilities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Instructor of Persons with Disabilities to join our team at ABA Autism Services INC.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing clients' cognitive, social, and emotional barriers to establish adaptation goals, as well as instructing students in reading and writing braille, lip-reading, finger spelling, and sign language.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess clients' cognitive, social, and emotional barriers to establish adaptation goals
  • Instruct students in reading and writing braille, lip-reading, finger spelling, and sign language
  • Assist students to develop life skills
  • Provide job training and support
  • Collaborate with specialists to develop programs for clients' special needs
  • Develop individualized education and intervention plans based on special needs of client to facilitate their readaptation and independence objectives
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
