Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Educational Assistant 2 to join our team at Sturgeon Composite High School. As a key member of our support staff, you will work collaboratively with teachers and other educational professionals to provide a supportive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers with instructional and behavioral support for students with diverse needs
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including those with behavioral challenges
  • Develop and implement behavior management strategies to promote positive student behavior
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment
Requirements
  • Teacher's Aid Certificate/Diploma
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training
  • Experience working with high school aged students with behavioral needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
