Job Summary

Space Contractor Ltd is seeking a skilled and physically demanding individual to join our team as a Painter and Surface Finisher. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean-up and Debris Removal: Safely clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish.
  • Painting and Finishing: Paint small items and apply touch-ups using paint brushes, and sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
  • Compound Application: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a high-quality finish.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: The successful candidate must be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Environment: The candidate will be working at heights, in confined spaces, and in dusty conditions.
  • Security Clearance: A basic security clearance is required for this position.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication for this role.
