Are you a sales and relationship-focused individual looking to build a career in credit-focused banking? Do you have a passion for building client relationships and providing financial advice? Scotiabank's Wealth Management Associate Program is a 5-month salaried program designed to develop your skills in core credit underwriting and relationship management.

What You'll Gain
  • A comprehensive training program to gain a thorough understanding of Scotiabank's Private Banking and Wealth Advisory businesses
  • A path to completing the Certified Financial Planning Certification
  • Placement in a Scotiabank Wealth Management Private Banking office and the opportunity to work with a Private Banking team
  • A training curriculum to support you in preparing for a client-facing role in Private Banking
  • Ongoing support during the program through various touch points with the Program Lead, Wealth leaders, and your local Manager

Requirements
  • Completing a undergraduate or master's degree by June 2025, or having work experience in building client relationships and providing financial advice
  • Having completed a course of study that will enable registration with the appropriate provincial securities commission to obtain a license to sell mutual funds (requirement to obtain license will be determined on a case-by-case basis and will be dependent on business need in the Region of hire)
  • Aspiring to build a career as a personal Banker
  • Being a curious, critical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with others
  • Having a sales and relationship-focused mindset
  • Being able to demonstrate an ability to influence, persuade, and build consensus as well as the ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing
  • Being flexible and thriving in fast-paced environments
  • Having strong organization and time management skills and enjoying working in both team and independent settings
  • Valuing feedback and actively seeking out opportunities for self-development
