Main Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management
    • Determine optimal inventory levels by SKU to maximize fill rates, shelf-life availability, and product freshness.
    • Facilitate clear communication through the supply chain to expedite accurate transmission of information and product.
    • Meet and exceed fill rate and freshness objectives on a consistent basis.
    • Maintain awareness of various influences on product inventory, including feature planning, in-store planning, seasonal changes, and consumer trend influences.
    • Maintain accurate current and historical data to inform effective decision-making.
  • Supply Logistics
    • Liaise with external suppliers, internal departments, and store managers on ordering process issues.
    • Follow up with category and merchandising managers on short shipments, out-of-stocks, and other supply-related issues.
    • Communicate effectively on supply-related issues, including supplier shortages, damages, late deliveries, and product recalls.
    • Coordinate and analyze supplier performance regarding in-bound receiving, including minimum order quotas and lead times.
    • Facilitate timely and orderly delivery of product to maximize distribution center efficiencies.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Understand product specifications to ensure high product integrity.
    • Ensure proper rotation and flow-through of inventory to optimize product quality.
    • Communicate Farm Boy Procurement policies for product specifications to avoid supply chain disruptions.
  • Internal Controls
    • Adhere to Farm Boy policies and procedures to minimize supply chain issues.
    • Develop a thorough understanding of forecasting systems to inform replenishment responsibilities.
    • Monitor replenishment systems and collaborate with leadership to ensure performance accuracy and efficacy.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires completion of a post-secondary office administration program plus 2-3 years of experience in an office setting with administrative responsibilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A passion for food retailing and people.
  • Solid retail experience.
  • Sound knowledge of business practices.
  • Good knowledge of retail industry and food products.
  • Superior standards of quality.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and interact with employees on all levels.
  • Good judgement and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Experience working with various computer software programs.
  • Clear and effective communication style, both written and oral.
  • Impeccable organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Skilled at working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining priorities and a high level of performance.
  • Fluency in English and French is an asset.
