Roofing Specialist Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Roofing Specialist to join our team at Atlas-Apex Roofing (Nova Scotia) Inc.. This is a permanent role that offers a dynamic work environment.

  • Position Type: Permanent
  • Language of Work: English
  • Work Hours: 30 to 50 hours per week
  • Educational Requirement: High school graduation certificate
  • Experience Required: 1-2 years in roofing
  • Work Environment: At heights, Outdoors
  • Work Setting: Various locations including Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install built-up roofing systems
  • Install single-ply roofing systems
  • Repair existing roofing systems
  • Apply waterproof coatings
  • Install and repair metal roofs
  • Install sheet metal flashings
  • Erect scaffolding as needed

Supervision: This position does not require supervision.

Specialization: Focus on roofing construction, including built-up systems, modified roofing systems, pre-formed roofing systems, and single-ply membrane roofing systems.

Transportation: Candidates must have their own transportation, be willing to travel, and possess a valid driver's license.

Work Conditions: The role is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring good hand-eye coordination. Overtime may be necessary, and tasks can be repetitive.

Weight Handling: Ability to handle weights up to 100 lbs.

Tools and Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots are required.

Personal Attributes: We value dependability, reliability, and teamwork.

Screening Questions: Candidates must have the legal ability to work and reside in proximity, along with previous experience in roofing.
