Overview: Responsible for the efficient operation of ADR and Veryx machinery to ensure product quality meets customer standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operates all ADR machinery (ADR's, Veryx) to maximize efficiency.
  • Assists with other sorting equipment as needed.
  • Oversees wet grading processes.
  • Adjusts ADR and Veryx settings according to product specifications.
  • Collaborates with the Cutter deck operator for optimal recovery rates.
  • Performs maintenance on ADR cutter wheels, including assembly and disassembly.
  • Conducts daily quality tests to ensure product consistency and equipment performance, documenting results in the McCain database.
  • Leads sanitation team members and production staff during shifts.
  • Keeps accurate records of operations, including recipe management and MDI x AI.
  • Ensures compliance with sanitation and food safety standards.
  • Executes shutdown cleaning procedures safely, utilizing appropriate PPE.
  • Follows reporting protocols for incidents and assists in investigations.
  • Performs additional related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work rotating shifts.
  • Familiarity with Infinity, Process Control, MDI, and basic computer skills.
  • Capable of identifying control parameters and making necessary equipment adjustments.
  • Commitment to safe work practices.
  • Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Adherence to all company policies and regulations.
Experience & Training Requirements
  • Willingness to undergo training in Confined Space & Rescue, Personal Fall Protection, Forklift, and Scissor/Boom Lift operations.
  • Mechanically inclined with a strong aptitude for machinery.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to work in high humidity and temperature environments while following heat stress policies.
  • Physically capable of lifting 40 – 50 lbs as needed.
  • Ability to climb stairs for equipment and product checks.
  • Experience in safe chemical handling in accordance with WHMIS is an asset.
