Position Overview

Victoria Gymnastics Downtown is seeking a dedicated and skilled Artistic Gymnastics Instructor to join our team. This role is essential in nurturing young athletes and fostering their development in the sport of gymnastics.

Qualifications
  • Education: No formal degree required.
  • Experience: Previous coaching experience is considered an asset.
Work Environment
  • Non-smoking facility.
Work Setting
  • Focus on gymnastics training and coaching.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative tasks, including maintaining organized filing systems.
  • Design, implement, and oversee training sessions and practice routines.
  • Engage in coaching clinics to enhance instructional skills.
  • Assess and evaluate the performance of athletes and teams.
  • Observe and assess the skills of potential athletes.
  • Provide first aid and necessary assistance during training.
Certifications Required
  • Level 1 Coaching Certificate.
  • CPR Certification.
Safety and Security
  • Must pass a criminal record check.
Physical Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
