Job Title: Security Officer - City of Brampton

Paladin Security is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team in Brampton, ON. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing a uniform security presence at various City of Brampton locations, including the Rose Theatre, City Hall, Civic Centre, and other downtown facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to and report all incidents of criminal activity, suspicious activity, and hazardous situations
  • Unlock and lock doors and offices
  • Provide access control
  • Provide a uniform security presence within various locations and customer service areas
  • Deterring and enforcing prohibited acts such as loitering, panhandling, smoking, skateboarding, and cycling
  • Ensure the buildings are secured after hours
  • Complete patrols with the use of an electronic guard tour
Requirements:
  • Minimum two years of security experience
  • Minimum two years of security guard experience in a municipal government or corporate environment
  • Dispatch and mobile experience is an asset
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as customer service skills
  • Valid Security License for the Province of Ontario
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Valid Ontario G Class Driver's License
  • Able to provide a 3-year clean driver's abstract
  • Physical demands include excessive walking, standing, exposed to all weather conditions, and extreme temperatures
  • Utilize two-way radio and computer applications
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required
  • Bilingual and multilingual applicants preferred
