Job Title: Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at the Four Corners Library in Brampton. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for library patrons and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct proactive security patrols to deter and prevent any prohibited acts within the library
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
  • Write detailed incident reports for all emergency and day-to-day activities
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons
  • De-escalate crises and provide support to library patrons and staff
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of security experience or in a related field
  • A valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • A WSIB-approved First Aid/CPR Level C
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is considered an asset
  • Proficient in English (both oral and written)
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • COVID-19 double vaccination
  • Customer service experience
