Viking Fire Protection Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fire Protection Engineering Manager to join our growing team.

In this role, you will lead and manage a team of engineers, overseeing the design, development, and implementation of fire protection systems for a variety of projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of fire protection engineers.
  • Manage the design and development of fire protection systems for various projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Prepare project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a college diploma in fire protection, building mechanics, or civil engineering (P. Eng an asset).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the fire protection industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of standards and codes governing the design and installation of automatic fire protection systems.
  • Proficiency in computer-assisted design using AutoCAD (Revit an asset).
  • Strong hydraulic calculation skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
