About the Role

At Stripe, we're building a global financial infrastructure that enables businesses to accept payments and manage their finances with ease. As a Backend Developer - Junior (H/F), you'll play a crucial role in building Organizations, a feature that allows merchants to centrally manage their businesses across multiple Stripe accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable backend infrastructure to support Organizations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex technical problems
  • Uphold high engineering standards and elevate quality and efficiency within our codebases and processes
  • Mentor and grow junior engineers as their technical leader
Requirements
  • Strong technical background, including 3+ years of experience as a backend engineer
  • Experience with building scalable backend infrastructure
  • Skills to build holistically, from specs and documentation to implementation, testing, deployment, and measuring impact
  • Experience mentoring and growing junior engineers
Work Environment

This role is available either in an office or a remote location. As a remote employee, you'll be expected to work from home regularly and may be required to come into the office for team meetings, on-sites, and other events.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is C$134,400 - C$201,600.
