Corporate Reporting Specialist

Canadian Pacific Railway (CPKC) is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Reporting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Reporting team, you will play a critical role in sustaining and improving critical and complex sets of accounting and reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and coordinate detailed accounting and reporting activities to support rapid and accurate execution.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Perform journal entries and reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare financial analysis and reports on monthly and quarterly data to inform business decisions.
- Assess and research implications of significant financial transactions to ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and analyze inconsistencies in financial data and recommend adjustments as necessary.
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and compliance.
- CPA designation.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of US GAAP requirements and tax or securities regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
