About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Supervisor to join our team at Portfolio Contracting Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of various carpentry projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of carpentry teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and submit reports on project progress, including materials used and labor hours worked.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement project plans, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices.
  • Coordinate the transportation and delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in the construction industry.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
