Food Protein Innovation Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Officer to join our team at the National Research Council Canada. As a Research Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of innovative food protein processing technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and development activities to advance the field of food protein processing and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify research opportunities and develop proposals for new research initiatives.
- Manage and lead research projects, including project planning, execution, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, academia, and government agencies to advance the research agenda.
- Communicate research findings and results through publications, presentations, and reports.
- PhD in food processing technology, food chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field.
- Significant experience in food chemistry, biochemistry, and ingredient technology.
- Strong knowledge of current industrial food processing and food ingredient production technologies and protein innovation challenges.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
