Research Officer, Food Protein Innovation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Officer to join our team at the National Research Council Canada. As a Research Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of innovative food protein processing technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and development activities to advance the field of food protein processing and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify research opportunities and develop proposals for new research initiatives.
- Manage and lead research projects, including project planning, execution, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, academia, and government agencies to advance the research agenda.
- Contribute to the development of research papers, technical reports, and presentations to communicate research findings to stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A PhD in food processing technology, food chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field.
- Significant experience in food chemistry, biochemistry, and ingredient technology.
- Strong knowledge of analytical methods and ability to apply these in appropriate situations to assess processed products.
- Experience in testing, development, and applications of innovative food processing technologies from the bench scale to pilot scale.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present research findings to internal and external stakeholders.
