Cybersecurity Analyst

Position Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Security Analyst to oversee and enhance the security measures within our organization and for our clients' IT environments. This role is essential in safeguarding network integrity and preventing unauthorized access or data breaches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and assess emerging cybersecurity threats and devise strategies to mitigate them.
• Evaluate and test security technologies to ensure effectiveness.
• Identify vulnerabilities and implement protective measures, including firewalls and encryption protocols.
• Investigate security incidents and provide timely incident response.
• Document cybersecurity incidents and evaluate their impact.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments of the network.
• Develop and promote best practices for organizational IT security.
• Ensure compliance with established incident management procedures.
• Implement security policies, access controls, and data protection measures.
• Foster strong relationships with PBS clients through effective communication and support.
• Work towards achieving departmental and individual performance objectives.
• Stay informed about the latest trends in information technology and security protocols.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Information Systems.
• Exceptional relationship-building abilities with a focus on trust and active listening.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with current IT products, services, and security solutions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of security technologies such as firewalls, proxies, and intrusion detection systems.
• Experience with Windows Server environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft technologies and scripting.
• Awareness of SOC2 compliance is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, with valid travel documentation.
