Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Millwright to join our team at Almag Aluminum. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and components to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic analysis to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and other team members on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in maintenance and repair.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433a) Trade Certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Millwright or Maintenance Mechanic in a related industrial maintenance environment.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Experience with electrical controls and PLCs (Allen Bradley) is an asset.
  • Welding and fabrication skills.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. The position requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
