Senior Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer

Cisco is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to join our cutting-edge team.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing innovative optical transceiver solutions for the rapidly evolving telecommunications market. We design smart transceivers leveraging advanced signal processing and photonics integration for high-speed data transmission across various network infrastructures.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the conceptualization and implementation of high-speed analog circuits (exceeding 25 Gb/s) tailored for optical communication products.
- Architect, design, and meticulously layout ultra-deep submicron CMOS integrated circuits.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring the quality and rigor of complex IC designs.
- Collaborate closely with packaging and hardware engineering teams to guarantee signal integrity and power specifications are met throughout the product lifecycle.
Your Expertise:
- A deep passion for developing high-performance analog/mixed-signal circuits and pushing the boundaries of cutting-edge technology.
- Exceptional attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling seamless interaction with diverse engineering teams.
- A solid academic foundation in Electrical Engineering, ideally with over 12 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Required Skills:
- Proven expertise in the design, simulation, and measurement of high-speed integrated circuits across multiple domains.
- Direct experience working on electrical transceiver applications within a telecommunications or datacom environment.
- In-depth familiarity with FinFET technology and its implementation in advanced CMOS processes.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory validation techniques using high-frequency testing equipment.
Desired Skills:
- Layout expertise for high-frequency components, ensuring optimal performance and manufacturability.
- Proficiency in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and power integrity analysis techniques.
- Strong command of industry-standard design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, MATLAB, and others.
- A demonstrated track record of innovation, evidenced by publications or patents in the field of mixed-signal IC design.
