About the Role

Cisco is seeking a highly skilled Analog and Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Mixed Signal Design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits for our optical communication products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, architect, and layout ultra-deep sub-micron-based CMOS products for high-speed optical communication applications.
  • Collaborate with our packaging and hardware design team to ensure signal and power integrity specifications are met.
  • Work on large blocks for complex chips and ensure seamless integration with other design teams.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality design documentation and ensure compliance with company standards.
Requirements
  • BSEE degree with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent, an MS degree with 4+ years of experience, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits for optical communication applications.
  • Strong understanding of CMOS technology and analog circuit design principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience with electrical transceiver applications, including backplane and cable communications.
  • Experience with FinFET technology and high-frequency layout design.
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturability techniques, including characterization over PVT and electromigration analysis.
Software Experience
  • Proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, and other relevant design tools.
  • Experience with high-frequency test equipment, including BERT, jitter analyzers, and VNA/PNA.
