Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to join our team at Cisco. As a key member of our Mixed Signal Design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-speed analog circuits for our optical communications products.
Key Responsibilities- Architect, design, layout, measure, and productize ultra-deep sub-micron-based CMOS products
- Lead efforts for large blocks on complex chips, mentor team members, and track deliverables
- Participate in peer review of complex IC designs and provide solid design methodology from conception to production
- Collaborate with packaging and hardware design teams to ensure signal and power integrity specifications are met
- BSEE degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent, an MS degree with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent, or a PhD with 3+ years of experience, or equivalent
- Design, simulation, and measurement of high-speed ICs in at least 3 areas: high-speed serial links, voltage regulators, high-performance output drivers, high-performance phase-locked loops, efficient clock transmission/propagation, opamps, and programmable gain amplifiers, and equalization techniques
- Direct experience with electrical transceiver applications, including backplane and cable communications
- Experience with FinFET technology
- High-frequency layout experience, including passive component design, floorplanning, and design for manufacturability
- Laboratory validation experience, including solid ESD laboratory practices and methodology
- Experience in the use of high-frequency test equipment, including BERT, jitter analyzers, VNA/PNA, etc.
- Cadence (Virtuoso), Spectre/APS/SpectreX, layout validation tools (Virtuoso or Calibre), post-layout extraction (Virtuoso or Calibre), EMX, mixed-signal simulations in AMS, Matlab
You are a highly skilled Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer with a passion for developing high-speed analog circuits. You have a strong background in design, simulation, and measurement of high-speed ICs, and you are experienced in working with complex IC designs. You are a team player with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
