Job Title: Health Care Aide

As a Health Care Aide, you will be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team, providing personalized support to patients who require short-term assistance or ongoing care. Your role will involve working closely with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support patients with mobility, nutrition, and recreation needs
  • Observe and report on patient mood, health, and wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors
Requirements:
  • Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide Course (or equivalent)
  • Medical Terminology course
  • Current BCLS-HCP certification from the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Connect Care documentation
