About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nursery Labourer to join our team at Fairfield Tree Nurseries Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the cultivation and maintenance of our nursery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivation and Maintenance: Clean the crops, cut horticultural crops, tie and secure plants, and perform weeding tasks.
  • Plant Care: Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants, mix and prepare soils, pot and re-pot plants, transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings, and dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs.
  • Watering and Tending: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
  • Physical Demands: Perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Work Environment: Outdoors, with exposure to wet/damp conditions.
